SEASON OF FEAR: an Abe Polonsky Memorial - a screenplay adaptation of the Abraham Polonsky novel

by Joseph Janeti

Mead-Hill’s Season of Fear:  an Abe Polonsky Memorial – a Screenplay Adaptation of the Abraham Polonsky Novel is a special memorial edition of a previously-written screenplay.

The volume contains a short history of how the screenplay came to be.  More significant, however, is the screenplay’s underlying material, the 1959 novel by Abraham Polonsky which sought to process the reach and meaning of unwarranted surveillance in everyday people’s lives, and more especially the seriously damaging personal after-effects which flow from it.

The screenplay closely follows Polonsky’s eerily prescient vision of a world unfortunately close to the one being slowly erected around us.
