Charlotte Wetzel studied political science at Freie Universität, and screenwriting at Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie, both in Berlin. She is a documentary and animation filmmaker, a screenwriter, and a translator of books and screenplays. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
